As Co-Director and responsible for the methodological design and guidelines for the implementation of Virtual Reality, in the Ministry of Education-Universidad de Concepcion Project MECESUP UCO-1120: "Learning and development of fine motor skills based on the creation of an interactive 4D visualization environment for students of Dentistry at University of Concepción."

2008,  April, 5-23,  UK (MECESUP GRANT):

Visit to the University of Cambridge, meetings with Cambridge ESOL Examinations and Cambridge Assessment. Focused on Cambridge Exam IELTS.

  • Can we know for sure that an assessment is valid? (The four psychometric principles), presented by Professor John Rust, de Cambridge Assessment at: 1 Regent Street, Cambridge, UK.
  • The rank-ordering method for maintaining standards by expert judgment (New Horizons), presented by Prof. Tom Bramley, Beth Black and Tim Gill, de Cambridge Assessment at Hughes Hall, Mortimer Road, Cambridge, UK.
  • Assessment and Learning, presented by Prof. Andrew Watts, of Cambridge Assessment at 9 Hills Road, Cambridge, UK.

2007, September 20 – October 12, USA (MECESUP GRANT):

Visit to Universities with prestigious Advanced Academic English Programs in the USA: University of Hawaii, New York University, Georgetown University, Princeton University, Boston University, and Harvard University.

Attended an intensive program at ETS Global Institute, Princeton, USA, Focused on TOEFL IBT/IPT, GRE, and a Propell Workshop for the TOEFL iBT test.

  • Academic paper presented at TBLT 2007, University of Manoa, Hawaii.
